Opening Files from Unidentified Developers on a Mac

Issue

I can't run an app on my Mac

Resolution

1. Go to the location of the saved file.
2. CTRL+Click the file (i.e. hold CTRL and click on the file) to open a context menu.
3. Click Open in the menu.
4. A dialog box will open asking you to confirm that you want to open the file.  Click Open in this dialog box.

Opening the file this way will bypass the security settings that are applied when you normally attempt to open a file from a third-party developer.
