VoiceThread Playback Issues

Issue:

I can't view lectures in OAKS. It seems to freeze upon loading.

Mac with Safari

Resolution:

If you are you using a Mac with Safari as your browser there is a setting you need to enable in order to allow the browser to play media like that in VoiceThread.

1. Navigate to OAKS (https://lms.cofc.edu) and log in.
2. Open the Safari menu at the top left, and select Preferences.
3. Open the "Websites" tab, then go to the "Auto-Play" category on the left. You will see https://lms.cofc.edu listed.
4. Select in the pull-down, Allow All Auto-Play to play media.
