Clear Outlook Cache

ISSUE:

User cannot access a shared calendar in the Outlook desktop application.

ENVIRONMENT:

MacOS 

Outlook Version 16.41

RESOLUTION:

Please perform the following steps to clear Outlook's cache:

  1. Make sure your computer is connected to the Exchange server.

  2. In the navigation pane on the left side of the Outlook Desktop application, Ctrl+click or right-click the Exchange folder for which you want to empty the cache, and then click Properties.

  3. On the General tab, click Empty Cache. After the folder is empty, Outlook automatically downloads the items from the Exchange server.
