Kaltura videos showing as Broken Links in OAKS

Issue:

Kaltura videos showing as [Broken Topic] when content is copied over from another course.

Environment:

OAKS using the Kaltura integration

Cause: 

Links to the Kaltura videos were not copied over with the content in the copying process

Resolution:

Include the information that is needed to recreate the solution if it happens again.

  1. Once in the Import/Export/Copy Components Tool select the course you want to copy your Kaltura videos from

  2. Choose the Select Components button at the bottom of the page.

  1. Tick the box next to Content, select the Select Individuals Items to Copy radio button, and tick the Include Associated Files box

  2. Tick the box next to External Learning Tool Links and select the Select Individuals Items to Copy radio button *It should be just below the Content components selection

  3. Select the Kaltura videos from the content you want to copy over to the new course then click the Continue button at the bottom of the page. NOTE: click on the + next to the content topic to expand the section and choose individual items. 

  4. Select the Kaltura videos from the External Learning Tool Links you want to copy over to the new course then click the Continue button at the bottom of the page.

  1. Click Finish on the final screen to start the copy process. You will see a progress bar indicating the copy process is initiated. 

Be sure, when copying Kaltura videos from another course, to check the box for ""External Learning Tool Links" (which is just under the Content section) in the Copy Components Tool.
