How do you make a post in Microsoft Yammer?

Reason: 

This article explains the differences between a discussion, question, praise or poll and how to make a post in Yammer.

How do I:

Topic

  1. Access Microsoft Yammer. 

    1. portal.office.com> all apps> Yammer or

    2. Microsoft Teams>communities>networks (globe icon in the top right)

  1. Select the community that you would like to make the post

  2. Click on the type of post you want to make, discussion, question, praise, poll.

  3. In the discussion box, click in the space above the post types to the right of your profile icon

  4. Create your post

  5. Use the formatting tool, add attachments, topics, GIFs etc as desired (you will need to choose a community before you can add attachments)

  6. When you are ready to post your message click the Post button in the lower right of the discussion box.
