View Your Missing Financial Aid Requirements

"Your CofC Financial Aid file is incomplete."

I received an email that my CofC Financial Aid is incomplete. How do I check what requirements are still needed?

Resolution:

For Academic Year 2021-2022: Use MyCharleston to Check Financial Aid

You can check your Financial Aid Student Requirements for the 2021-2022 aid year online via MyCharleston.

  1. Log into MyCharleston.
  2. Within MyCharleston, click on the Financial Aid tab.
  3. Under the Financial Aid tab, find the Financial Aid Self Service box. 
  4. Click on the Eligibility link
  5. Select Award Year. This is specified in the header of the email.
  6. See Student Requirements for the status of required documents and a list of any unsatisfied requirements.

 

For Academic Year 2022-2023: Use MyPortal to Check Financial Aid

  1. Log into MyPortal.
  2. Within MyPortal, click Financial Aid Dashboard tile.
  3. Select award year on the top right. You are defaulted to the Financial Aid Home tab.
  4. Under this tab: Review any outstanding questions and/or unsatisfied requirements.

If you are looking to download Financial Aid forms, they can be downloaded at https://finaid.cofc.edu/download-forms

If all requested student requirements are satisfied or waived, there may have been a timing issue and the student may disregard the email notice. You can confirm with Financial Aid if you have additional questions or concerns regarding the requirements or if any changes are needed.

Contact the IT Service Desk for help if you are unable to reset your own password or cannot get logged in. You can email, start a chat, or call.

Be prepared to provide the following information:

  1. Your full name on record
  2. Your CWID (Locate Your CWID Here)
  3. Your date of birth
  4. The last 4 digits of your SSN (International Students who do not have a social security number will need to supply their Passport ID number instead)
