Getting a warning message 'You do not have the correct administrator privileges' when attempting to license a SPSS Statistics product on Mac OS.

Environment:

Spss Mac OS

Cause:  

Incorrect permission on the SPSS Licensing Wizard. The error may occur when a user attempts to license SPSS version 27 on macOS computers

Repair Spss License Wizard Permissions 

 Follow steps below

1. If open, close the License Authorization Wizard.
2. Open Finder.
3. Select the 'Go' menu.
4. Select the 'Utilities' menu.
5. Open the 'Terminal' program (/Applications/Utilities/Terminal.app)
6. Type (copy/paste) the following command to change directory to the SPSS Statistics installation folder. 
7. cd /Applications/
8. Press Enter/Return.
9. Perform the procedure corresponding to the Statistics product version as described below:
10. Type (copy/paste) the following command: sudo chown -R root:admin "IBM SPSS Statistics 27"
11. Press Enter/Return.
12. Close Terminal.
13. Launch the License Authorization Wizard.
14. The warning message should no longer appear.
15. License your IBM SPSS Statistics product.

If the user experiences this error, do not attempt to reinstall, uninstall, or repair SPSS.
