Issue: Minitab Application Portal
Accessing Minitab via Minitab subscription portal
Environment:
Minitab access Windows, Mac, Chromebook, classroom, labs, and the Addlestone Library
Cause:
Minitab Inc has changed its license structure from a desktop application to a subscription-based web application.
The subscription will allow for access from multiple devices, including Mac and Windows computers, Chrome books, and iPads via the Minitab applications web portal.
No software to install, access from any classroom, lab, Addlestone Library, office computer, and student personal computers.
Licenses for Minitab and Minitab Express will no longer be needed.
Resolution:
Professor Access
1.Submit a request for Minitab by filling out this request form: Software Request.
2. After the request is received, professors will receive a Welcome to your Minitab Statistical Software subscription email from Minitab.
3. Follow the instructions in the email to activate your account.
4. Sign-in to the Minitab application portal via https://app.minitab.com/ with the College of Charleston email address and password you created.
5. There will be no need to request Minitab installation for classrooms. All Minitab access via Minitab app portal.
Student access
1. Students should contact their Professor. Individual student requests will not be honored.
2. Professor should submit the Software Request form with the following information:
- Number of students
- Students' first and last name
- Students' College of Charleston email address (personal email addresses will not be accepted)
2. Each student will receive a Welcome to your Minitab Statistical Software subscription email from Minitab.
3. Follow the instructions in the email to set up your account.
4. Sign-in to the Minitab application portal via https://app.minitab.com/ with your College of Charleston email address and password you created.
