MyPortal Error: "User not authenticated"


I tried to register a student and a window popped up saying I was an unauthorized user.

I can get into Banner, but when I try to access SZADSEC or SZASECT or SSAMATX I get the following message: User not authenticated

I receive an error when accessing parts of Banner that reads, "User not authenticated."User Not Authorized Error

If you are seeing this error, the troubleshooting steps below may help:

  • Try a private browsing window, though this often results in another error:  "Session Initialization Failed. Couldn't access remote session service."

  • Clear browser cache

  • Enable JavaScript and cookies in your favorite browser on your desktop computer or laptop.
    • The web app supports all leading browsers (Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari).
  • Turn off Ad Blocker
  • Fully sign out of MyPortal, sign back in.
