Install Adobe Acrobat via Software Center (Windows)

Issue

I would like to install Adobe Pro on my college owned computer.

I am getting an error message that says my trial is expired.

I have Adobe Pro installed, but it is requiring me to sign in.

Environment

Adobe Acrobat Pro

Windows

On campus College-owned computers only

Software Center

Cause

Adobe Pro is required to edit PDF files. The college has a license for Adobe Acrobat Pro 2020.

Resolution

If you are getting an error message, or are being prompted to sign in, uninstall Adobe and then re-install. You can uninstall or install Adobe Pro via Software Center. Please note that the install option for Adobe Acrobat Pro via Software Center will only work while on campus (not off campus or on VPN)- for off campus install, see the "I need Adobe Acrobat" article.

Uninstall Adobe Acrobat:

  1. Follow the steps on Microsoft's site for instructions on how to uninstall. Please note that if you are solely upgrading your Adobe Acrobat Pro program, the install option via Software Center will remove any older versions for you.
  2. Restart your machine.

Install via Software Center:

  1. Open Software Center (Use your Search tool to find Software Center on Windows computers)
  2. Click Applications. Look for the option for Adobe Acrobat 2020.
  3. Select it to install it- you may need to also choose the option to Install.
