Qualtrics Authentication

Issue:

I can't log into Qualitrics anymore. Why?

Analysis:

What URL are you using to access Qualtrics?

 

Cause: 

On Sunday, August 28th, 2022, IT updated the authentication method for Qualtrics to Single Sign On. Qualtrics previously used the Central Authentication Service (CAS), which looked like this: 

 

Resolution:

Single Sign On Now enabled for Qualtrics

Now, when you open Qualtrics at https://cofc.qualtrics.com, you will be presented with two options: College of Charleston Single Sign On and Qualtrics sign in page. There is information at the bottom of the log in page about logging in, as well as contact information if you have questions.

If you are a College of Charleston member with an @cofc.edu or @g.cofc.edu account, please use College of Charleston Single Sign On to log in the same way you log into applications like MyPortalTeamsSharePoint Online (The Hub), or Outlook.​​​​​​​ This option will open the following log in screen (if you do not already have an active session):

The other Qualtrics sign in page link is the default Qualtrics log in page that you can use if you have a Qualtrics account outside of CofC.  

No surveys are expected to be affected by this change since all surveys are independent from the authentication method for Qualtrics. 

If you have any questions or concerns regarding this change, please submit a Web Support Request to IT and they will assist you. If you do happen to notice any differences in the behavior of an active survey after the change, please submit a Web Support Request to report the issue.
