Pulse Secure is Blank


I cannot connect to VPN.

Pulse Secure is blank.

There is no option to add, edit, or remove a connection in Pulse Secure.



Employee must have been approved for VPN access.

Employee must have administrative rights on the computer to make changes.



  1. If this is the first time using Pulse Secure, verify system requirements are met: https://www-prev.pulsesecure.net/download/techpubs/current/2061/pulse-client/pulse-secure-client-desktop/9.1rx/ps-pulse-9.1r7.0-supportedplatforms.pdf
  2. Restart the computer.
  3. If it is still not working after restarting, uninstall Pulse Secure and reinstall it from: http://clients.vpn.cofc.edu


Set up the connection.(http://vpn.cofc.edu/)

  1. Open Pulse Secure
  2. Click the + sign to add a connection
  3. Type: UAC or SSL-VPN
  4. Name: CofC Pulse VPN
  5. Server URL:
    1. Azure multi-factor: mfa.vpn.cofc.edu
    2. External, use from home: Token.VPN.CofC.Edu
    3. Internal, use on campus: Token.iVPN.CofC.edu
  6. Click Add
  7. Click Connect to start a connection
