Restore Google Doc

Issue

I accidentally deleted the content of my Google document, and the Undo button is not working.

I deleted a Google document and would like to recover it.

Cause

We all make mistakes.

Resolution

To restore a previous version of the document:

1. Go to your file in Docs, Slides or Sheets.
2. Click File and then See revision history.
3. On the panel, click on the timestamp to see the previous version of the file.
4. Use the arrows to scroll through all the list of changes, in the top right section.
5. To revert the file to a version that you're viewing, click on Restore this version.

To restore a deleted document:

1. On a computer, go to drive.google.com/drive/trash.
2. Right-click the file you'd like to recover.
3. Click Restore.
