Unable to Open Hyperlinks in Outlook from Windows Machine

Issue:

When I attempt to open a link in Outlook, I recieve an error message that states, "Your organization's policies are preventing us from completing this action for you. For more info, please contact your Service desk."

Environment:

Windows

Outlook 2013

Outlook 2016

Resolution:

If this is a valid hyperlink from a secure sender, the email system should not be blocking the link from opening. To resolve this problem, try the suggestions offered through Microsoft Support online. Suggestions to try from that page are to run an Easy Fix program to automatically adjust settings and resetting your Internet Explorer settings. Perform these settings changes on the machine currently experiencing issues, and be sure to check whether the problem is resolved after each method. At this time, Service desk would not suggest making any registry changes- please contact Service desk directly if you continue to have issues after running the Microsoft Fix It tool or resetting Internet Explorer. Making changes to your computer's registry may cause further computer issues and data corruption.
