MFA: Outlook keeps asking for a password on my mobile device

Issue:

Outlook keeps asking for a password on my mobile device

Environment:

Outlook

Android

Ipad

Iphone

Resolution:

More than likely this is due to Multifactor Authentication not being validated on the mobile device yet.
 

1. Have the user go login to office365.com

2. Make sure the user correctly authentications with MFA on sign in.

3. Go back to the mail or outlook application on the device. The device should successfully authenticate.

For apple devices you may need to try these additional steps:

1. Delete the mailbox from the mail app and re-add it.

2. Instead of setting up the mailbox manually, select the option to let exchange configure the device.

3. Login and use MFA on the following office365 login screen.

The mailbox for the device should be reconnected.
