Restarting an iPad

Issue:

I need to restart my iPad.

Environment:

iOS

Resolution:

To power off the device:

• Models with the Home button:  Press and hold the top button until the slider appears, then drag the slider.
• Other models:  Simultaneously press and hold the single side button and either volume button until the sliders appear, then drag the top slider.
• Alternatively, for all models:  Go to Settings > General > Shut Down, then drag the slider.

Once powered off, you can use the previously used power buttons to power the device back on.
