Most computers on campus are set up with VoIP phones near the computer, so the Internet cable will usually run from the network jack in the wall to the bottom of the T48S VoIP phone (port in phone is labeled Internet), and then another Internet cable (usually color-coded black) will run from the PC port from the phone to the Ethernet cable in the back of the computer. If there is no phone at the desk, the network cable will run from the network port directly to the back of the computer.

1. Make sure the Ethernet cable is securely plugged in -- both to the network jack in the wall, phone, and computer.
2. Make sure that the cables are in the correct ports (network jack, phone, computer)
   • Try other ports in the network jack. Someone may have plugged it in to the incorrect port (common occurrence after hurricane emergencies).
3. Restart the phone and computer.
4. Contact Service Desk if you are still unable to establish a network connection.
