Log Into Secure Share with a Shared Email Address

Issue:

Our department uses a shared email address. Someone sent us a document through Secure Share, but none of us can access it.

 

Environment:

SecureShare

 

Resolution:

Log into Secure Share using the email address where the document was shared. This will allow you to download and view the file that was sent.

 

For a shared mailbox, the Information Technology Identity Access Management team (IT-EAM-IAM) will need to first enable the account for login on SecureShare, and can reset the password for the shared group mailbox if required. Please note that if the shared group mailbox is enabled for login on SecureShare, it will then be capable of being compromised, and therefore Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) will also be enabled at that time. This is to protect the account from unauthorized logins. To have the account enabled for logins on SecureShare, or to reset the password for the shared mailbox, submit a ticket using the Email Account link at the bottom of this article.
